Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili on Thursday today withdrew from the presidential race, to create a coalition to defeat the ruling All progressive congress, and the people's democratic party  in the upcoming February general election. This was stated by the spokesperson of Ezekwesili campaign organisation, Ozioma Ubabukoh. Ezelqesili said she decided to withdraw because of the discussions with Nigerians, both home and abroad, followed by the electoral environment of the upcoming general election. the decision was made by consulting different leaders across the country, to build a coalition to find an alternative to APC and PDP.

As president Muhammad Buhari visits Born and Yobe for the Presidential campaign, a suspected book haram terrorists have launched an attack on 27 task force Brigade Buni yadi, Gujba LGA of Yobe state. A resident, Muhammed kachalla said that the terrorists came in the late evening with four trucks loaded with fighters and arms. creating pandemonium in the town, which led the residents to run for their lives into neighbouring villages and bushes for their lives.

The minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai  Mohammed, have raised an alarm that some armed mercenaries from Niger Republic have been contracted to attack top government functionaries, including state governors across the North west between now and the general elections. He further accused the People's Democratic Party of orchestrating violence in order to the elections. He said that the opposition party is creating constitutional crisis that could result in the establishment of an interim government. He boasted of the president's rallies having a large turn out than that of the opposition. He stated this in a press conference in Abuja, today, Monday.

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo, has said that, Nigeria under president Buhari is back to the days of military dictator Gen Sani Abacha. He said this while addressing journalists at Abeokuta, to what he titled points for concern and action, that Buhari's government is the same as that of Abacha. He clearly stated that the ruling party, APC had started recruiting collation officers to carry out their perpetuation agenda. He also said that this was the reason why Buhari refused to sign the revised electoral reform bill, that what is happening now is exactly what happened during Abacha's regime.

The debate which the president attended was organised by another body which was done through  on line. And that the president on that day commissioned a water port in Niger state and also campaigned there.

WIke described the electoral body as a fraudulent institution that lacks credibility and claimed that INEC was working with APC in order to repeat the same situation that occurred in Ondo State two years ago. he warned them not to try any rubbish by postponing elections in Rivers state. He further accused the electoral body of working in the interest APC, the party in power. He disclosed this at the rally held at Okehi, by PDP. He said that INEC is plotting to postpone the upcoming election in Rivers state

When i say these aspirants have nothing to offer, some people won't understand. how can somebody who is aspiring for a presidential sit of a country be absent in an organised presidential debate to know exactly what they have for the people and he will be absent without any tangible excuse. This is to show that both Atiku and Buharri have no positive agenda for the people of Nigeria, they have nothing to offer the people, they simply coming to continue embezzling from where they stopped. what marvels me is the sitting President being absent in a debate, it shows that he is gambling with Nigeria.

The present Nigerian government since elected, have not practiced democracy in any way, they handle Nigeria as a one man business, they do things without due process. just recently the chief justice of Nigeria was summoned for trial over non declaration of asset. and i ask, why must it be now that the election date is fast approaching. their plan is to appoint their own person. there is everyday plan to rig this upcoming election.

on several occasions in so many so called leaders in Nigerian government have told lies to the people they promised to serve, and that is why they keep on embezzling funds every now and then, they have no positive impact on the people they claim to be serving,they are selfish and greedy, with lack of vision,they have come again to promise the people heaven on earth which is all lies. All they aspire is to go their and start stealing, they all have nothing to offer. have you asked yourself, why is it that every campaign period, they start making those old promises to the people, which is the same old stories, like “i will give steady power supply, provide water, quality education, job opportunity, good roads, good health care", all these are no where to be found, up till now they are still saying same without shame. the most annoying part of the issue is that they travel abroad for health care, their children are abroad schooling, so they don't care. The time of election in Nigeria is approaching and the political atmosphere is getting hotter and hotter by the day. so contesters are out to contest for one political position or the other. , some are not realistic of what they are coming to do for the people, some have come to represent their belly and families. All of them with what I call flattering promises which may not be fulfilled, they keep on making promises on same issues the past and present government have deceitfully told the masses that they will fix. we are talking of a credible free and fair election, but the commission in charge of the exercise is dependent, and have always been, so there is nothing like a credible election in Nigeria.
